Apple To Release iPad With Face ID, No Home Button Next Year

Apple is reportedly working on an iPad model for next year that lacks a home button and includes Face ID. Bloomberg says the new model offers a display size "similar" to the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and it'll be released "later next year." Apple can reduce the device's bezel by eliminating the home button, just as it did with the iPhone X.

It's unknown if Apple will further reduce the iPad's bezels by using the iPhone X's "notch," which adds a cutout to the top part of the display, something a fair portion of users dislike.

An updated Apple Pencil is also reportedly going to come out alongside this new tablet.
